Law and Public Service
Careers in law and public service include lawyers, civil servants, law enforcement workers, people working in government, and careers in the armed forces. Jobs in civil service and law are diverse in their daily responsibilities, but all careers in the civil service sector shares a common goal: protecting and serving one’s fellow citizens.
The types of careers available in law and public service are so diverse, that it’s possible to group them into three categories:
1. Security and law enforcement jobs include police officers, corrections officers, fbi agents, detectives, and other criminal justice careers. At the national level, these careers include military and armed forces personnel, fbi agents, and other government security workers.
2. Government and civil service jobs include public safety workers, firefighters, government employees, public utility workers, and elected politicians.
3. Jobs in law and justice include judges, lawyers, paralegals, and other legal workers.
