SCULPTOR

Salary

Fine artists usually work on a freelance or commission basis. But because of the large quantity of artists trying to make a living, it's very difficult to exist solely on the money made from selling sculptures. Sculpting is a very competitive field. It's hard to become financially successful as a sculptor. Luckily, there are other opportunities to work in the art industry. Some sculptors find that they can best utilize their skills by working in a museum or art gallery. By doing this, they get to use their skills as artists and still make money to support themselves. Others may teach art classes to other people who want to learn the craft.
