Correspondents are individuals employed by news agencies to contribute regular news stories from locations around the world. A former CNN Correspondent Overseas, stationed in Seoul, Jeanne Ringe was charged with reporting from Korea three times a week on business, economics, political, military, and other areas of interest. Sometimes an on-air reporter works with a producer who edits their script, or the script may be sent in to the assignment desk, where an assignment editor checks it for accuracy and so forth.
