About the Author

Deborah Underwood writes nonfiction, fiction, and poetry for children. She grew up in Walla Walla, Washington, and received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Pomona College in Claremont, California. She now lives in San Francisco. When she is not writing, she enjoys reading and singing in a chamber choir. This is her second book for KidHaven Press.
