Dictionary of Occupational Titles/Occupational Information Network/Group Numbers

The following list contains the three-digit occupational group numbers from the United States Department of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT). The DOT, for many years the most important publication for occupational information, has been replaced by O*NET, which is based on the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system that has been adopted by the U.S. government. DOT numbers have been included here because some libraries and career guidance centers may still file career information according to the DOT numbers. O*NET occupational profiles can be found on the Web at http://online.onetcenter.org/.
