RIVER GUIDE

Outlook

“One of the nice things about guiding now is that the world has gotten so much smaller in the last decade,” says Ken Streater. “Adventure trips take place all around the world all during the year. Plenty of people work year-round just as guides and earn a successful living while doing what they love.” On average, a river guide can make from $65 to $110 for a one-day trip. Average starting wages are $8 to $10 an hour, plus bonuses.
