In addition, many western states, such as Texas and Wyoming, have reported shortages of ranch hands in recent years. Working ranches and cattle outfits may hire interns to train as ranch hands.
You have many geographic options if you wish to pursue employment as a ranch hand. Try Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Texas, Washington, Wyoming, or Hawaii.
