INSPECTOR AND TESTER
Education And Training
Training requirements vary, depending on the responsibilities of the employee. Inspectors who give a “pass/fail” grade need little training beyond high school, but this type is being phased out. As testing and inspecting become more automated, technicians will need more training in the use of sophisticated equipment. Much of this training can be done on the job. An associates degree in engineering is recommended for the ambitious tester.
