MANUFACTURER'S SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Salary
Most manufacturer's sales representatives receive a combination of a salary and a commission. Salaries range from $33,000 to upward of $60,000 a year. Representatives for scientific and technical products earn more than those selling groceries and clothing. Companies usually pay expenses, such as transportation, hotels, and meals. They may also reward outstanding sales representatives with vacation trips or gifts.
Self-employed manufacturer's agents work for a straight commission, but they have the advantage of being able to set their own schedules.
