THE BEST ASPECTS OF HER JOB
For Sharon Dugan, working at home in her own studio has its advantages. “My work environment is on a farm in a pleasant, light-filled, two-car garage with nice windows. I try to work there each weekday from about 7 AM to 4 or 5 PM. I like working at my own pace, producing beautiful objects, creating and experimenting.”
WHAT DOES SHARON LIKE THE LEAST ABOUT HER JOB?
“That's easy!” she says. “Demands on my time. Folks sometimes find it hard to realize you're working when you are ‘at home.’”
As a one-person business, the biggest challenge is to have enough time to produce the product. “I wear many hats and have to run all the errands,” says Dugan.
