ACTOR

Pay

It is hard to give a pay scale for this industry. As you may well know, television actors on some of the more popular shows can pull in around $1 million per episode. Film actors such as Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, and Nicole Kidman can pull in millions of dollars per motion picture. You hear about these actors and their contract negotiations in the news all the time. It seems like an outrageous amount of money for simply doing a job. But it is the reality of the business. There is no way to predict accurately how much money you can make working in front of the camera in the film and television industry. An extra that does not belong to a union will make around $100 per day. So, it is safe to say that the pay range runs from $100 a day to $1 million per episode to millions of dollars per film.
