CONSTRUCTION WORKER
Job Duties, Education And Training, Pros And Cons, Did You Know?, For More InformationSalary
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, construction was one of the largest industries in 1998. And it will continue to grow as more buildings go up and others need maintenance. This is not surprising if you consider the many different types of structures that construction workers build and repair. The buildings we live, work, or go to school in, the roads we drive on, and the bridges we ride over were built by and are maintained by construction workers. There will always be a need for people to build structures, and these structures will need to be maintained. This means that there are many jobs available in the field. The availability of work, coupled with a relatively high pay rate, makes construction a very promising field to get into.
Salary
Because there are so many different professions that exist in this field, salaries for construction workers vary greatly.
